In demand

I finally got to open my pc after how many demanding days. My time is almost always occupied since I got rid of my house help in the last days of November last year. I’m not interested in finding right now for a replacement.

Getting rid of clutter

Our clutter is simply overflowing each week. There’s paper -- old newspapers, magazines, information booklets, and printing papers. There are bottles, glass containers, aluminum cans and all kinds of plastic and even old, unusable domestic device.  I couldn’t deal with them easily since hubby is the one responsible of bringing in more and more of that garbage. We don’t have a storage room so temporarily, it has been occupying at least one-half of our garage space and it’s the first sight you see once you enter the gate. I just hate the sight of it everyday. I constantly nag him about when he’s going to dispose all that garbage.
I was happy that our barangay asked the residents last Saturday for old clothes and stuff that could still be used. I have one big box in the garage for give-away. Aside from that, I told hubby that before Christmas, whether he likes it or not, he needs to dispose or sell the paper clutter or else, I’ll burn them all.
So that’s the first thing they did last Saturday, sorting and segregating the paper stuff. I was very pleased to see hubby and son working together and seeing the garage being cleaned up. First, they gathered all plastics and aluminum cans to sell it in the Toril Junkshop. They went home in the morning with 400+ pesos. Before lunch, they again loaded the paper stuff and off they went to Bales (I’m not sure of the name) near Sobrecarey Street at Obrero to sell it. They came back with 600+ pesos and some food and entertainment. All I thought was these were useless items that need to be thrown away. This coming weekend, our target is to clear up 100% of the clutter in the garage and ask our neighbor-carpenter to build a small storage before Christmas. Like everyone else, we want to live in an organized home this coming New year.

Jingle bells!

Abby, my two-year daughter who'll be turning three on December 10 is a smart, loving and funny toddler. The other night, she was telling me, " Mommy, let's sing Jingle bells." I didn't have a CD of that song so I went looking for our old cassette tapes. I only found "Alvin and the Chipmunks" and it's just sad that our old cassette player in the bedroom have long been destroyed according to hubby. The tape playing mechanism won't move anymore. So, we go to the computer, and search for youtube videos with that song.

She enjoyed watching this one.

Juggling Act

I have to do a juggling act again. It’s back to school and still has no yaya. I had no problem during the summer and I’m so thankful for Justin, my eldest son because he took care of Abby while we were working. There was a yaya during summer but I had to let her go because I noticed she couldn’t control Abby. She couldn’t make her eat and she doesn’t interact well with all of us at home.

Anyway, it’s not really hard to run the house without a yaya. Justin didn’t have a yaya when he was three years old until he graduated in elementary. In times like this, we already know what to do. We all share the household chores. Hubby and Justin cooperate and we’re able to do things efficiently. Since the school started, I have to bring Abby in the office every day. We have a large playroom in the office via the conference room. It’s rarely used. Actually, all the kids of my officemates meet with Abby in the conference room. I’m glad about it. I can leave them there by themselves knowing that they’re safe and the office doesn’t mind bringing kids at work.
