Dress code

Our office is the sponsor for the First Friday Mass this month of August and I got assigned to read the First Reading. Of course, I can't pretend that I didn't know the dress code when going to mass. They made me attend the seminar for commentators a month ago and it was strictly enforced that if you're the reader or commentator, you should wear the proper attire. And the proper attire should be blouse and skirt or dress for the females.

So I thought, nobody would comment on what I was wearing today because I remembered when I was also one of the readers before with that existing dress code, I was still able to read in front. But now, they're strict. When I arrived at the room where the mass will be held someone called out the readers and then she told me that I'm not wearing the proper attire. Di ba nag-seminar ka?Maghanap ka ng skirt or manghiram ka ng skirt or find someone who will replace you!.. Ang iniisip ko naman, would Jesus care about what I wear? So, I dashed to the nearest office and asked a personnel if somebody has a skirt. Fortunately, they found one for me. Matangkad ang may-ari 'nun so masyadong mahaba yung skirt. What I did was fold the skirt three times, luckily, garter siya at hindi mahirap suotin. I was conscious the whole time kasi baka sa ka-uupo at tayo, di na pantay yung harap at likod ko.
