I went to my OB today. My last visit was in April 2009 where she prescribed me Duphaston, Metformin and Reductil. I always go back to her clinic whenever I missed my periods for at least 6-8 months or more. I remember I took some online test for Hormone Balance..and after checking some symptoms, result came out that I belonged to the group with progesterone deficiency; the most common hormone imbalance among women of all ages. The reason for my irregular menstruation and little acne .
Duphaston is treatment for irregular duration of cycles and irregular occurrence and duration of periods caused by progesterone deficiency. After five days of taking this, my period arrives. She also gave me Metformin. I am not diabetic but I’m prone to being one because of family history. Metformin is treatment for type 2 diabetes and for overweight and obese person. I’ve been battling with weight since giving birth to my daughter, I would lose some pounds but regain back the weight. It was a cycle and I felt such a disappointment in that area. The Reductil was effective—this was prescribed to help me lose some weight. I lost about 6 kilos in one month when I took it..
My OB told me that I need to lose weight to regulate my menstrual cycle. She told me again and again—‘will power’ to lose –that’s the keyword, Jen! I always leave her clinic with embarrassment..Tssk!
hi jen, wala bang side effects sau ang reductil kc my ofcmate says nagpa-palpitate siya sometimes.
ReplyDeletewala man..uhaw lang palagi tapos suppressed talaga appetite. mas mupalpitate pa ko kung 3c na kape in a day..namayat gamay pero wala na-maintain, sayang pera ko..di na ako buy ngayon, change na lang lifestyle..
